USRAH 2

11 DECEMBER 2021

Last Tuesday, I had usrah session with my friends. Our naqibah, sister Aqilah presenting a video to us. The video is by Aida Azlin, a YouTuber. The video is about a hardworking man that works as a trishaw puller. The story is so inspiring and gives lessons to me about ‘Ihsan’ in Islam. In Islam, Ihsan is very important as it's one of 3 core things that we need to practice as a Muslim. That video literally makes me remember a story that happen to me a few years ago.

During that time, I am on my way to go to my grandparents’ house. On my way, there’s a traffic light so we stop for a while at the traffic, and I saw there’s an uncle that sold vegetables at the roadside and he seems like has a problem with his sight. We just passed by him during that time-as the light start to turn green. As I went to my grandparent's house at noon, we are going back home at night maybe like 8 p.m. I see at the same place that the uncle previously sold his vegetables. He is still there even at night and the vegetables are not sold much. It's kind of sad to see it. So, my parents decide to stop and buy those vegetables. So, I also go out to see the vegetables. And yeah, the price is so cheap. During we choose the vegetables to buy, I saw there’s a tasbih around his hand and a Quran near the table at the stall. And the uncle also opens a Qur’anic recitation using a tape. It’s such a sweet thing to see. The uncles told us about his sight problem and his age. We are so sad to see the uncle still work even with that condition and at the age. After we bought all those vegetables, the uncle starts to pack his things with a big smile. The uncle makes be more grateful with life and realizes that the connection and dependence on Allah is something important no matter how bad our situation is. Starting from that day, no matter what I do and how bad my day was, I will always remember Allah and believe in Allah as later I know that I will see what Allah want to show and teach me. I think that’s all. Thank you.
